Bray Wyatt Released: Bray Wyatt’s current situation in WWE appears to be uncertain. The former Universal Champion’s comeback to the company after nearly a year generated a lot of excitement among fans. However, since his return, he has had limited in-ring appearances and is currently inactive. Despite these circumstances, indications suggest that he will continue to be associated with the Stamford-based promotion.

In July 2021, the Eater of Worlds was released from WWE, but he made a comeback in October 2022. Since then, Bray Wyatt has participated in a few matches during house shows. He had one live encounter against LA Knight at Royal Rumble 2023. That particular event also marked the last time fans witnessed the former champion in action.

Why was Bray Wyatt Released?

Subsequently, speculation arose that his absence might be due to health issues. Recently, reports emerged stating that the superstar has been removed from the internal roster, leading to speculation that he might no longer be part of the company. However, it is important to note that Bray Wyatt has not been released by WWE. He still appears on the company’s website, and his removal from the internal roster is likely a measure to allow writers and producers to plan storylines.

What Does Bray Wyatt’s Future Look Like?

This situation may indicate that the star’s return might be further delayed and that there is currently no specific creative direction for him. Fightful Select reported that Wyatt is eager to return, but there have been no updates regarding his health. Steve Carrier from RSN added that the star has not received medical clearance to compete. It also remains unknown how long his hiatus will continue.

Prior to his hiatus from WWE, Bray Wyatt faced LA Knight at this year’s Rumble event. Following his victory against the current SmackDown star, Wyatt set his sights on another prominent figure in the wrestling world. After the Rumble, he announced his intention to challenge the eventual winner of the Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley match, which took place at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. Bobby Lashley emerged as the victor in a controversial manner, leading to the anticipation of a showdown between Wyatt and Lashley at WrestleMania 39.

The two stars began their rivalry shortly thereafter, with Bray even briefly resurrecting The Firefly Funhouse segment to play mind games with Bobby. There were even instances of physical altercations between Bray and Lashley. Unfortunately, their scheduled match for WrestleMania 39 never materialized. Bobby Lashley made an appearance at the event, but only to pose with his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy.

The circumstances surrounding Bray Wyatt’s return to television and his potential opponent upon his comeback remain to be seen.
