In match 1, Germany comfortably defeated France by 5-1 to progress to the quarter-finals of the hockey world cup. Match 2 went down to a shootout after both Argentina and Korea were stuck at 5-5 after full-time. Eventually, Korea won the 2nd crossover match of the day by 3-2 (shootout).
