You missed out on a golden opportunity to own a rare Tesla tequila bottle.
During Tesla’s Q1 earnings call last Wednesday, the Tesla ShopBot (a Twitter account that notifies about new items in Tesla’s online store) spotted a limited edition Tesla Tequila up for grabs.
Priced at $420, the reference to cannabis culture and Elon Musk’s well-known joke—stemming from a tweet about taking Tesla private at $420 per share—was evident.
Originally conceived as an April Fools’ prank, the Tesla Tequila evolved into a real product in 2020, initially priced at $250. This exclusive edition, however, includes two sipping glasses. Notably, Tesla’s website confirms that only 420 bottles of this Tequila remain, each engraved with a unique number from 1 to 420, a feature that enhances their potential value for collectors.
The tequila itself, produced by Nosotros, boasts a 40 percent alcohol by volume (ABV) and is contained within a distinctive 750ml bottle shaped like a bolt of lightning.

Elon Musk’s recent grand plan outlines the ambitious goal of expanding Tesla to monumental proportions.
According to Tesla’s website, this exclusive small-batch premium tequila is crafted from sustainably sourced agaves, a blend of highland and lowland varieties. It matures for 15 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a Tesla Tequila that presents a delicate aroma of dried fruits and subtle vanilla notes, culminating in a well-balanced finish with hints of cinnamon and a touch of pepper.
Regrettably, the Tesla Tequila, available only in specific U.S. states, swiftly sold out, leaving eager enthusiasts without the chance to make a purchase.
