Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in July 1987, Marcelle grew up in her hometown with a happy childhood. She is the daughter of Russell Provencial (father) and Alberta Provencial (mother). Her grandmother, Maria Provencial (1924-2016), was from a family of olive farmers in Italy and practiced nursing at Bellevue College of Nursing. Later, Marcelle’s grandmother married her grandfather, Ernest Russell Provencial, a restaurateur, hotelier, and entrepreneur. Marcelle has two sisters, Noelle Provencial and Michelle Provencial.

Following in her grandmother’s footsteps, Marcelle earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida State University. She has spent more than ten years working as a registered nurse in the medical ICU at Rush University Medical Centre as well as the cardiac ICU at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
