In the latest update from the 17th edition of Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine, released on August 18, it was unveiled that the manga “My Dress-Up Darling” (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru) by Shinichi Fukuda is undergoing a temporary shift in serialization. The change, which comes in light of the ongoing “Tenmei” (Mandate of Heaven) arc, entails the author crafting more extensive chapters for this narrative phase. Fans will witness the forthcoming chapter of the manga in the magazine’s 19th issue, slated for release on September 15.
The commencement of the “Tenmei” arc dates back to the 86th chapter, marking its introduction on January 6 earlier this year.

Published in English by Square Enix Manga & Books, the manga’s storyline is portrayed as follows:
Wakana Gojō, an aspiring doll artisan, bears the scars of a childhood incident involving a friend who disapproved of his fondness for traditional dolls. This trauma led him to a reclusive existence, seeking solace within the confines of his high school’s home economics room. In Wakana’s eyes, individuals like the radiant Marin Kitagawa, a trendsetting girl who effortlessly garners a circle of friends, appear to belong to a realm beyond his reach. However, when Marin, known for her effervescent nature, stumbles upon Wakana engrossed in sewing one day after school, she enthusiastically intrudes, harboring intentions of involving her reserved classmate in her clandestine pursuit: cosplay.
The manga’s journey embarked in the pages of Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine back in January 2018. The 11th compiled volume of the manga was released by Square Enix on March 25, with the 12th volume scheduled for publication on September 25. Meanwhile, Square Enix Manga & Books catered to English-speaking audiences with the release of the ninth volume on July 18.
