wimbledon fortnight 2023

Wimbledon Fortnight 2023: The Championships of 2023 will span across a period of 14 days, signifying the second consecutive year that play will be scheduled for the Middle Sunday. Similar to last year, the fourth round of singles matches will be spread out over two days, and the singles matches for both gentlemen and ladies will be mixed throughout the quarter-finals. The Mixed Doubles competition will feature a 32-draw size, with the final set to take place on Thursday, following the ladies’ singles semi-finals on Centre Court. Notably, the format for gentlemen’s doubles will change from best of five sets to best of three.

Commencing at 11 am, play on all outside courts will commence simultaneously. The staggered start times introduced in 2021 will be maintained, with Centre Court starting at 1.30 pm and No.1 Court at 1 pm. However, on the finals weekend, play on Centre Court will begin at 2 pm, while matches on No.1 Court will commence at 11 am for the first time in 2023.

Please note that the following schedule is a tentative guide and is subject to change at the discretion of the Referee. Furthermore, matches may experience delays due to factors beyond the AELTC’s control, such as inclement weather or player injuries.
