The BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the home ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka which will be played in January 2023. India will host Sri Lanka for a 3-match T20I and 3-match ODI series at the start of the new year. The T20I series will begin from January 03rd onwards while the ODI series will commence from January 10.

Hardik Pandya takes over as India’s full-time T20I captain from Rohit Sharma after India’s mediocre performances in this year’s Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. The full T20 squad is as follows –

The Indian selectors have taken this stance that senior players will not play the T20 format. However, since the upcoming 50-over world cup will be hosted by India, the selectors have decided to give them maximum match practice.
