Zach Wilson Mom: When Zach Wilson was selected second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, the camera panned to the typical shot of the green room. Zach was grinning for the camera, surrounded by his loved ones. The New York Jets believed that the BYU player was the ideal candidate to rebuild their franchise. But, another member of the Wilson family became the star of the night: his mother, Lisa Wilson, went viral on social media.
Fans were astounded that she had a 21-year-old son and even dubbed her the draft MVP. Before the draft night, Lisa’s Instagram account had less than 10,000 followers. Her fan base has grown to over 100,000 as of right now. The charges against her son, brought by his ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile, who is rumored to have had a close relationship with Lisa, have, however, thrust Lisa back into the public front.
Gile posted a picture of herself with her new partner, Dax Milne, a receiver for the Washington Commanders who was formerly Wilson’s teammate at BYU. Gile was labeled a “homie hopper” in the comments for starting a relationship with Milne. This revelation has put Lisa Wilson back in the spotlight, and social media has gone into overdrive.

Although her son will undoubtedly have some serious explaining to do, Lisa’s best friend will have even more explaining to do.
In March, Lisa and Mike Wilson, Zach’s parents, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Lisa took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to her long-time partner, Mike.
She wrote:
“GRATEFUL. I share a lot of Mike’s stories. He drives me insane! But I’m also INSANELY in love with him. Mike cherishes me. He makes me feel protected. He makes me better, even when I don’t want to hear what he has to say. Mike believed in me and let me build our homes. Together, we have raised six amazing children. So grateful for this big lug and I wouldn’t trade him for anything.”
The couple has six children, two daughters and four sons, and they are a devout Mormon family. Mike has Hawaiian ancestry, which is why Zach’s middle name is Kapono. They are extremely close, and two weeks ago, they were all pictured enjoying a vacation together in Mexico.
The Wilson family may feel a little embarrassed by the recent news, but their relationship seems unbreakable. Her best friend might find it difficult to move on from this, and their friendship might be irreparably damaged.
