Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, more commonly known as XXXTentacion, entered this world on January 23, 1998, in Florida. His parents, Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy and Cleopatra Bernard faced personal challenges. They led to Onfroy primarily being raised by his grandmother, Collette Jones. Onfroy’s journey into the world of music began when his aunt convinced him to join the school choir, followed by the church choir. However, due to an altercation with another student, he was expelled from the school choir. Nonetheless, Onfroy’s passion for music was ignited. However, during his time at Sheridan House Family Ministries, he delved into nu-metal, hard rock, and rap. These motivated him to learn to play the piano and guitar. After his release from a juvenile detention center, he began writing music and embarked on his musical career in 2013.

On November 21, 2014, Onfroy released his first official extended play (E.P.) titled “The Fall.” In 2015, he collaborated with Ski Mask the Slump God to release a mixtape called “Members Only Vol. 1,” followed by “Members Only Vol. 2.”

The initial version of his song ‘Look at Me’ was uploaded to SoundCloud on December 30, 2015. Subsequently, Onfroy released another E.P. titled “Willy Wonka Was a Child Murderer” on April 28, 2016. This single gained significant attention, propelling him to popularity in 2017 when it reached number 34 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In 2017, Onfroy began dating Jenesis Sanchez, and their relationship evolved into a domestic partnership. Sanchez attested to positive changes in Onfroy’s ability to manage his anger. Tragically, on June 18, 2018, after leaving Riva Motorsports Motorcycle in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Onfroy was confronted by two armed individuals. A brief struggle ensued, during which they stole a small Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 from his car and shot him multiple times. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital in Deerfield Beach by paramedics, he was pronounced dead. Three days after his passing, Onfroy’s mother announced Sanchez’s pregnancy on Instagram.
