Chandrashekhar Ravan Shooting: Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad sustained minor bullet injuries after his convoy came under fire from unidentified assailants in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur on Wednesday, as reported by ANI.

According to NDTV, Azad was en route to Saharanpur from Delhi when two bullets were fired at his vehicle. One bullet grazed his waist after passing through the door, while the other hit the back door. Five individuals, including Azad’s younger brother, were present in the car during the attack, as confirmed by the politician in an interview with ANI.
Investigation and Injuries
Senior Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada informed ANI, “The convoy of Chandrashekhar Azad was targeted by armed men traveling in a car. One bullet brushed past him. He is safe and has been taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) for medical treatment. The police are currently investigating the incident.”
The assailants responsible for the attack were reported to be traveling in a car with a Haryana registration number, as stated by the police according to PTI.

Outrage and Demands
Following the incident, the party released a statement condemning the attack on Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad, describing it as a cowardly act obstructing the Bahujan Mission Movement. The party further demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits and called for strict measures to ensure Azad’s security.
Akhilesh Yadav, the chief of the Samajwadi Party, expressed his concerns about the prevailing law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. In a tweet, he condemned the “murderous attack” on Chandrashekhar Azad and highlighted the issue of safety for public representatives under BJP rule, questioning the security of the general public in such circumstances.
Shivpal Singh Yadav, a leader from the Samajwadi Party, commented on the audacity of criminals in the state, emphasizing that they had surpassed all limits.
